Angular contact ball bearings are designed to accommodate combined loads, i.e. radial and axial.

The basic groups of these bearings include:

• single row angular contact ball bearings,
• single-row double-direction angular contact ball bearings
• double-row angular contact ball bearings

Single row angular contact ball bearings are usually manufactured with the following contact angles:

• 15° marked with the letter C,
• 25° marked with the letter A,
• 40° marked with the letter B.

Single row angular contact ball bearings can accommodate axial loads in one direction.

Bearings with a contact angle of 15 and 25° can operate at very high rotational speeds. These bearings are often used in duplex or multiple configurations.

Single row angular contact ball bearings with a contact angle of 40° are designed to accommodate relatively high axial loads.

Baskets

Single-row and double-row angular contact ball bearings manufactured in the basic accuracy class are supplied with pressed steel cages, while double-direction bearings are supplied with solid cages.

Single-row angular contact ball bearings intended for bearing machine tool spindles are supplied with massive cages, most often made of textolite.
